How does automatic tracking work?
Logbird watches your iPhone's low-power signals: motion activity, leaving a place and coarse location changes. When they suggest you are driving, it turns on GPS, and it starts a trip once you have moved at driving speed for about a minute. The trip ends after you have been stopped for a few minutes. A short stop, like a gas station, stays part of the same trip.
Which permissions does Logbird need?
Location set to Always, with Precise Location on, and Motion & Fitness. Without Always, Logbird logs only the trips you start yourself with Start trip. Change these in the iPhone Settings app › Logbird.
A trip is missing or started late. What happened?
Open Settings › Tracking › Detection log in Logbird to see what the app saw on recent drives. The usual causes are location not set to Always, the app swiped away in the app switcher, Low Power Mode, or Background App Refresh turned off for Logbird. Add a missing trip with the + button on the Trips screen.
Will it drain my battery?
GPS runs only while you drive. The rest of the time Logbird relies on signals your iPhone collects anyway.
Can my car's Bluetooth start a trip?
Yes. In Settings › Tracking › Car Bluetooth, enter the name your car's Bluetooth or CarPlay shows. Connecting to it starts a trip in that vehicle.

How do I mark trips business or personal?
Tap Business or Personal on a trip in Needs attention, or after a Trip logged notification. Select several trips to classify them together. After you classify a trip to a regular place, Logbird can do the same for every trip there.
How do I export my log for taxes?
Open Export, choose the year or dates, and share the file with your preparer. It includes a spreadsheet of every trip with tolls and parking, an edit trail, and a one-page PDF summary.
Can I edit, merge or split a trip?
Yes. Open the trip to edit it, split it at a stop, or merge it with the next one. Every change is recorded in the edit trail of your export.
Account and subscription
How do I cancel my subscription?
In the iPhone Settings app, tap your name › Subscriptions › Logbird. Your records stay available to view, classify and export after it ends.
How do I delete my account and data?
In Logbird, open Settings › Your data › Delete account. Your log, photos and sign-in are deleted from our servers and erased from your phone. Export first if you want to keep a copy.
